2026 Q3 Update
Welcome to Summer, Menlo Church!
I hope summer is bringing you slower mornings, longer evenings, and a little room to breathe. Before you fully settle in to this season, I wanted to share some updates from a spring that has meant a great deal to our church family.
The Bay Area has perfected the divided life. One self for work, one for home, one for the digital world. We move between them so fluidly that we barely notice the cost, until it adds up to something we can no longer overlook. This spring at Menlo, we named that cost out loud, and we talked about the alternative: a life that is whole because it is anchored to one thing. We call it being an Undivided Follower of Jesus. It’s the first of our Kingdom Qualities that we believe God is using to form us as a community, alongside Unhurried Friend, Sacrificial Developer, and Thoughtful Witness.
Over the next year, each of these updates will walk through one of them, starting here. If you want to know what undivided looks like, picture a Baptism Sunday. Twice this spring, in March and again in May, people stood in the water in front of our whole community and said with their lives:this is where my allegiance is. Not an edited version. Just a person, fully committed to Jesus shaping our whole lives. That’s what your generosity is building: people who are becoming whole.
We have more updates I’d love to share with you via video below. God doesn’t need your money. He wants your heart. And we are so grateful that so many of you are giving him both.
