The Board of Menlo Church, aka Session, decided to update our Bylaws for four key reasons. Learn more below.

Today's Bylaws were adopted in 2014, and we wanted to make sure that the church was in compliance with current California non-profit law, and our denomination's governing documents.
Secondly, we wanted to remove dated information pertaining to our joining the ECO denomination.
Thirdly, we wanted to revise the Bylaws to focus on an enduring set of governing rules which outline its structure, decision making principles, and to ensure order and clarity.
Lastly, in the proposed Bylaws, we have moved appropriate detail of policies and procedures to other documents maintained by the Session and Staff. To adopt the new Bylaws the church's Covenant Partners (aka members) need to vote to accept them. This vote will occur on September 21, 2025.
