What happens at Alpha?

Each Alpha session has three key ingredients:

  • Food – We start with a shared dinner. There’s something significant about sharing a meal together—it builds connection, trust, and belonging.

  • Talk – Each week features a short video-based talk (about 30 minutes) that explores the basics of the Christian faith. Topics include things like Who is Jesus?, Why did He die?, and How can I have faith?

  • Conversation – Breaks in the video content allow for discussion groups where they can ask questions, share thoughts, or simply listen. There’s no pressure to say anything—and no judgment if you do.
What does a gathering typically look like?

Is Alpha a Bible Study or Small Group?

No. Alpha is more like a front porch; it's a first step into spiritual conversation, not a deep dive or long-term commitment.

Alpha is built for exploration, curiosity, and conversation. It’s perfect for those asking “Is this even for me?”

Can I invite a friend to come with me?

Please do. In fact we encourage people to attend together or even as a group. Alpha works best through personal invitation; many guests come only because someone they trusted invited them.

There’s no pressure, no expectations, and no weirdness. Just come as you are.

What if I have to miss a week?

No worries. Each session stands on its own, so you’re welcome to jump back in anytime but we encourage you to try to attend each week to absorb the full experience.

Do I have to talk during the discussion?

Nope. You’re free to share, ask questions, or simply listen. The goal is honest conversation not persuasion, performance, or pressure.

How much does Alpha cost?

Alpha is completely free.

Dinner, dessert, materials, and everything else are provided at no cost to you. Just come with your questions and an open heart, we’ll take care of the rest.

Our only ask is that you please register so we know you’ll be there.

Are kids or students welcome at Alpha?

Alpha is designed for adults ages 18 and up. High school students are welcome to attend when accompanied by a parent or trusted adult.

We do not offer childcare during Alpha. Children may attend with their parent or guardian, provided they are supervised throughout the evening and able to participate without disrupting the group experience.

Anything Else?

Yes! Alpha has an App and it’s pretty amazing. We recommend you download it and create a profile to stay up to date on the content and topics we’ll be engaging on weekly.
