Hope for Joseph

Even in Joseph’s initial attempt to break off the engagement, he sought to protect Mary’s reputation and future. After his own angelic visitation, he was willing to set aside his expectations to follow God’s call and safeguard his wife. Joseph serves as a reflection of the greater protection God offers us by leaving Heaven to take on what we deserve in order to redeem humanity.
